Ghanaians should take concrete decisions on whatever they wanted to do this year and stop playing games with their lives, Lieutenant General Joshua Hamidu (rtd), Former Ghana High Commissioner to Nigeria, has said.
Lt. Gen Hamidu, who was delivering an address at the watch night service at the Ghana Police Church, said being Christians meant walking the path of righteousness.
He said it was through God's grace that mankind was saved adding that God's love went further to sanctify to make it possible for man to abide in Christ.
The Septuagenarian stressed the need to abide in Jesus Christ, the true Vine, since it was only through that that Christians could bear fruits.
Preaching the sermon, the Very Reverend Dr J.M.Y Edusa-Eyison, Associate Minister of the Church, said those who lived by the tenets of God were strong and courageous since God's presence was always with them making them successful and prosperous.
He urged Christians to have faith in God, who was capable of leading them thorough the year and stressed the need to approach everything in the New Year with positive thinking.
The congregation sang and danced to welcome the New Year and offered prayers for the nation.
