Dansoman-based Liberty Professionals and Wa All Stars on Sunday played a drab game to the disappointment of their numerous supporters who trooped to watch their Onetouch Premier league march at the Wa Sports Stadium.
The visitors however who exhibited abundant experience managed to score a lone goal in the 16th minute from Isaac Quaynor's powerful header from a corner kick.
It was no wonder that some of the supporters described the march as a practice game between the two sides and that it was not attractive to the eye.
Right from the onset, Liberty Professionals kept ballooning the ball all the time while All Stars were rusty in their play thus wasting the a number of goal scoring chances that came their way.
There was little excitement from the two teams with the game not living to the expectations of the crowd until referee Mohammed Awal from Tamale brought the first half to end.
Back from recess, there was still nothing to write about the game plans of the two teams with All Stars openly accepting defeat with their frustrated play while Liberty ‘barricaded’ their goal area with more men to defend their lean one goal lead.
The visitors defensive strategy worked to perfection as the game progressed until the referee Awal brought the proceedings to an end.Source: GNA
