The Old Students Association of Fiaseman Secondary School (ROFOSA) has cut a sod for the commencement of GH¢45,000 library project for the school at a ceremony at Tarkwa.
The project would be completed in three years.
Mr George Ekow Mill, National President of ROFOSA said, there was the need to assist the school with a library to enhance teaching and learning.
He said though, during their time in the school there was no place called a library, in this era of modern technology the Association deems it proper to build a befitting library for the school.
Mr Mill, lawyer and a company secretary of Ghana Telecom, said the library would be equipped with computers and modern books to help the students in their studies.
Mr Robert Daniel Ainoo, headmaster of the school, expressed his appreciation to the Association for undertaking such a project.
He said the library would contribute immensely towards the academic work of the school especially with the introduction of Computer Studies, which is compulsory.
Mr Ainoo commended the Old Students for their contributions towards the school activities, saying, for the past 15 years the Association has been sponsoring the Speech Day celebrations and coming to the aid of the school in many ways.
