Counting begins in almost all 247 constituencies across the country to elect new Members of Parliament for the opposition New Patriotic Party.
Voting began at approximately 8:00 am amidst drama and violence in some constituencies.
There was drama at the Ablekuma North Constituency where a man has been arrested for attempting to vote with an ID card of a dead delegate, Joy News' Fred Smith reports.

In Ashaiman in Accra voting has started with some 832 delegates expected to vote for one of three candidates, Kwetey Nartey reports. Over 2, 000 delegates will be electing the new aspiring MPs to contest in the 2016 elections.

Former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Maxwell Kofi Jumah has also been arrested for vandalising electoral materials.
Controversies
There is misunderstanding in one of the polling station at the Adentan constituency leading to a temporary halt in voting, Francisca Kakra reports.
A man came as a delegate to vote but has no ID card and no picture in register. The name he gave was different from what was in the register. He was stopped from voting but there is some misunderstanding.
There is controversy over voting venue in the Shama constituency in the Western Region. The head of the Methodist church at the Shama circuit has ordered a discontinuation of the voting process which already started late. The preacher man said his premises can't be used for any political activity, Nana Adwoa Entsiwa reports.
In the Awutu Senya constituency in the Central Region, voting has stopped because delegates say transportation fare is not enough.
Back to Shama: Voting has resumed at the Methodist Church premises but the preacher man has threatened to return.
'Bribe'
In Ablekuma North, woman sets up table at voting centre where delegates receive envelopes after casting their ballot. Behind the envelopes are nicely printed 'thank you faithful delegate.' It also has photo of one of the candidates Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie, Fred Smith reports.
At the Ashaiman constituency Kwetey Nartey reports a candidate, Labaran Mohammed is also distributing 10 cedis to the 832 delegates to use as transportation an food. While another contender, Thomas Adongo have been giving 5 cedis.
The incumbent Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency in the Western Region, who was unopposed, has been retained by popular acclamation.
The Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) Nana Ato Arthur has also been acclaimed by party delegates.
Battle of Kwadaso doctors
It is the battle of doctors here at Kwadaso in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital. Four doctors including former MP Hilda Addo are vying for one ticket.
Two people have been arrested. One for taking snapshot of himself while voting. The other for alleged impersonation.
Two MP hopefuls have also been accused sharing money and distributing motorbikes. Dr. Akoto Afriyie gives Gh200 cedis while Dr. Chales Dwomena gives away Apsonic motorbikes.Voting process is smooth here. Unfortunately, three delegates have passed on prior to today's election.
An unidentified person sprayed substance believed to be paper on delegates casting their votes at the Madina Constituency in the Greater Accra region.
The election is being contested by former minister of state and former MP for Salaga Abubakar Saddique Boniface, Francis Ayenu, Jamal Mustapha, Samuel Douglas Quansah, and Eric Nartey Yeboah Alexander Nyarko Anim.
Incumbent Joe Osei Wusu wins Bekwai race. He polled 559 votes. His contender former MP Ignatius Poku Adusei had 185 votes. The constituency registered three spoilt ballots.

Also Joseph Tetteh of Upper Manya and Robert Kwasi Amoah of Achiase were acclaimed.
Rejection
An unopposed candidate contesting the NPP Ada East constituency primary, Kanor Senakey has been rejected by popular acclamation.
Nii Lante Bannerman wins in Odododiodio constituency
Provisional results from the Odododiodio constituency show that NPP’s Nii Lante Bannerman would be challenging incumbent Nii Lante Vanderpuiye of the NDC in the 2016 parliamentary elections.
Nii Lante Bannerman polled 356 votes of a total of 796 votes cast, while his closest contender polled 333 votes.
Nii Annan Tackie, the third candidate polled 105 votes.
Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu wins Suame constituency
Minority Leader Osei-Kyei-Mensah has won the NPP Suame primaries for the opposition New Patriotic Party after shrugging off a challenge from three other contenders.
Fallen MPs
So far 10 incumbent MPs have lost their seats.
Dr. Richard Anane: Nhyiaso constituency, Yaw Owusu Boateng: Assin Manso Akroso constituency, William Ofori Boafo: Akropong constituency, Isaac Osei: Subin constituency, Esther Obeng Dapaah: Abirem constituency, Gifty Klenam: Lower West Akim, Addai Nimo: Mampong constituency, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang: Asante Akim North, Justice Joe Appiah: Ablekuma North and Gifty Eugenia Kusi of the Tarkwa Nsuaem have all lost their seats.
