Komla Afeke Dumor born on 3 October 1972, died suddenly on 18 January 2014 at his London home after suffering a cardiac arrest.
He had presented his 'Focus on Africa' programme on BBC only few hours before.

Komla's body was flown back to Ghana on 3 February 2014. It was received at the Kotoka International Airport by his family, close friends, government officials, sympathizers and members of the Aflao traditional council, who also performed some traditional rites..
The body has been laid in state at the Holy Spirit Cathedral for public viewing. A solemn requiem will follow.

The mortal remains of late BBC Ghanaian Journalist Komla Dumor will be interred on Saturday in a private family ceremony.
A liturgical service will be held on the 22nd of February 2014 at the forecourt of the State House.
Finally, there will be a Thanksgiving Service on the 23rd of February 2014 also at the Holy Spirit Cathedral.
