Martin Skrtel’s injury-time header salvaged a point for ten-man Liverpool as Brendan Rodger’s charges drew 2-2 with Arsenal in their Premier League clash at Anfield.
The home side took a 45th-minute lead through Phillpe Coutinho only for Arsenal to head straight up the other end to silence the Kop with a Mathieu Debuchy header after defender Skrtel was caught napping from a cross.
Another Frenchman, Olivier Giroud, fired the Gunners into the lead on 64mins when the striker scored from close range, slipping the ball through the legs of Liverpool 'keeper Brad Jones.
Any hopes of a Liverpool comeback seemed to have disappeared when substitute Fabio Borini was red carded on the 90th minute.
However, villain turned hero Skrtel rose above the Arsenal defence in the seventh minute of injury time to grab a point for the Reds.
