President John Mahama has commissioned a district assembly office complex and an ICT center at Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern Region.
The commissioning is part of the second leg of the Accounting to the people tour the president is embarking on.
The President made a stopover at Abirem to interact with the chiefs and people there.
Speaking at a short durbar to welcome him President Mahama expressed optimism his track record will win him the November polls.
Touting some of his achievements, the president said within the last four years his government has connected over 4000 communities to the national grid.
He said areas which hitherto did not have water now have water, a testament of the kind of achievements chalked by his government.
He mentioned Adenta and its environs as some of the areas benefitting from the water supply.
He also said government has started constructing the deplorable roads in the region following complaints from the chiefs.
He was hopeful he will be given a second term because of the infrastructure projects his government has executed.
