Police in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region have arrested a 55-year-old man for allegedly stabbing his family member in both eyes with a pair of scissors during a domestic dispute at Sefwi Abrokofe.
The suspect, identified as William Gyamfi, popularly known as Kwasi Manso, is alleged to have attacked the victim, Akua Agyeiwaa, who is believed to be in her early 50s, following a misunderstanding between them.

The incident left the woman critically injured, prompting her immediate transfer to the Juaboso Government Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
Following a report to the police, a patrol team was deployed to the community to arrest the suspect, who was assaulted by some residents.
At the time of his arrest, he had visible injuries, including a swollen left eye and forehead, as well as bleeding from his left leg.
The suspect was taken to the Juaboso Government Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Police say William Gyamfi is currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
Meanwhile, some residents have alleged that the suspect has a history of violent behaviour, including a previous cutlass attack on his brother-in-law.
Community members are calling on the police to ensure thorough investigations and prosecute the suspect to serve as a deterrent.
