Major League Soccer side, Seattle Sounders, are waiting for Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins, to return to training after taking a short leave of absence following his injury.
The forward, who is recovering from a sprained ankle, was expected back in training on Tuesday.
He had been excused to take care of some family-related matters over the weekend.
The latest update now, is that Martins should be back Wednesday.
“He was supposed to be here today (Tuesday). He’s missed practice today. … It’s one missed practice. He’ll be fine and we’ll move on, his team manager,” Sigi Schmid told Seattle Times.
Martins is the second Nigerian player to be declared missing, after Victor Moses was also declared wanted by Jose Mourinho following his outing with the Super Eagles in South Africa.
