The Micro and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has dismissed some misinformation circulating on social media platforms and websites claiming that the temporary closure of the MASLOC Bawku district office was a deliberate attempt to deny the good people of Bawku access to its services.
In a statement issued on Monday, MASLOC stressed that the said claims contain some inaccuracies and “do not represent the full fact”.
According to MASLOC, even though its office in the Bawku district is temporarily closed, it is due to the insecurity in the area.

Citing other government and private entities who have relocated, MASLOC said, it was concerned and therefore relocated its staff and activities to Bolgatanga, the capital of Upper East.
“Considering the role MASLOC plays in supporting the vulnerable in the society, especially with women and the youth through the provision of microloans. MASLOC is committed to ensuring that its employees across the 16 regions of the country work under the safest conditions and do not suffer any harm that will jeopardize their future,” parts of the statement read.
“The public is assured that in the spirit of transparency, fairness and accountability, MASLOC will continue to work to ensure it delivers on its mandate to the good people of Ghana.”
