The Eastern Regional Coordinator of the Micro Finance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) says his outfit has put in place measures to ensure successful running of the program.
Dominic Baah Anim says MASLOC is putting in place a monitoring and evaluation procedures to enable the program work effectively in a revolving cycle, in order to serve the masses, especially those at the grassroots level.
He said the district officers close to the beneficiaries will follow up and monitor repayment procedures.
He said the identity and other vital information of beneficiaries would ensure that no persons would take advantage of the system.
He admits however that achieving a zero default rate would be impossible but efforts are geared towards minimizing high default rate.
He says, so far more than One point three million Ghana Cedis have been given to over three thousand, seven hundred individuals within the Eastern Region.
Dominic Baah Anim called on the many applicants to exercise patience since the program would be extended to all persons, especially those at the grassroots level.
