Kwabena Osei, a mason from Assin Foso, who broke into a drinking bar and made away with an Amplifier valued at GH¢70.00 was convicted and sentenced to five months imprisonment by the Assin Foso District Magistrate Court.
He pleaded guilty to unlawful entry and stealing.
Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) Kwarteng Addai told the court presided over by Mr Joseph Blay that on September 9, 2009, the convict entered a bar belonging to one Madam Abena Atta and stole the Amplifier.
Prosecution said upon a tip off, the convict was arrested and when his room was searched the Amplifier was retrieved.
ASP Addai noted that the convict is also facing another charge of stealing musical instruments belonging to the Local Apostolic Church in the same court.
