A planned meeting on Saturday called by the Wenchi Divisional Chief Daasebre Nyarko Asumadu Appiah to resolve the chieftaincy dispute between two factions in the Akyem Nkwantanan area has been rescheduled.
Joy News’ Eastern Regional Correspondent Kofi Siaw said he was told by members from the two factions that the Divisional Chief communicated to them that the meeting cannot take place because he is out of town.
He however informed the feuding factions that a new date would be set as soon as he returns.
Police in Kade this week secured a court order to bond all feuding parties in the ongoing chieftaincy dispute in the area to good behavior.
Meanwhile, Kofi Siaw reports that the police have secured another court order at the Kade District Magistrate Court asking both factions to appear on January 7.
The order was to prevent either side from going ahead to outdoor any chief.
