Melcom Care Foundation, as part of its continuing humanitarian out renovation works on the 37 Military Hospital Maternity Ward.
The renovation works which took about ten weeks to complete involved plumbing works, replacement of sanitary ware, washroom mirrors, lighting system, ceiling fans, painting among others.
Unveiling a plaque to symbolize the handing over to the hospital authorities, Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo, Director of Communications of the Melcom Group of Companies said that the project was sponsored by Melcom Care as part of its contribution to nation building.
He said the 37 Military Hospital Maternity ward serves expectant mothers across the board, civilian and military; so Melcom Care hopes that the renovation works which cost Melcom Care over Thirty Thousand Ghana Cedis will enable the administration upgrade maternal care in a decent and more homely environment.
He announced that Melcom Care will on Wed July 30, 2014, be organizing a nationwide Blood Donation Campaign in 17 selected Melcom shops across the country with the view to increasing the stock of blood at the Blood bank to save lives.
In his response the commanding officer of the 37 Military Hospital Col Dr. Samuel Adjei expressed his gratitude to Melcom Care for the kind gesture.
He recalled that only a few months ago Melcom donated an Ambulance to 37 Military hospital and hoped that the relationship between the two organizations would be strengthened for the good of the larger Ghanaian public.
