The microphone Cardi B hurled at a fan during her show at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas is being auctioned for charity on eBay.
Scott Fisher — whose company provided audio support for the show, as well as a lot of the nightclubs in Sin City — listed the mic Tuesday morning and as of Thursday afternoon, the bid was at more than $99,000.
In the description, Fisher claimed, “we provided more than one microphone for this particular show and verified with the in-house crew which one was specifically used by Cardi for the show.”
He continued, “It was pretty easy to identify though as her mic was marked ‘main’. This is the mic that has been seen all over the country flying into the crowd after Cardi was splashed with some liquid. The mic still works as I tested it when it came back to the audio shop this afternoon (July 31).”
Fisher further claimed that, after being “encouraged” to sell the mic, he wanted to “try to do something good.”
That’s why, after selling the mic, he will donate the proceeds to two charities: the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans and service members, and the Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which supports people with special needs.
However, another video later surfaced where Cardi actually asked those in the audience to “splash” water “in [her]] p—y” before the incident took place.
“That s—t feels good,” the singer 30, said as she bent over while fans threw water toward the stage.
The DJ also chimed in as well, directing fans to “splash her down.”
Following the incident, Cardi — born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar — was listed as a suspect for battery.
Page Six learned that the woman she struck reported the incident to the Las Vegas Metro PD.
Per TMZ, she got caught in the crossfire because she was standing next to the person who actually threw the drink.
But, according to the police, Cardi B will not face charges related to throwing her microphone into the crowd at the concert.
“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told CNN in a statement on Thursday.
