Ghana Armed Forces has begun investigations into how a military Pickup with registration number 41 GA-92 knocked down and killed a 22-year-old man called Dennis Atoh at Dakodwom in the Ashanti Region. A Unit Committee Chairman at Nhyiayeso Electoral Area Akwasi Afful who witnessed the incident, told Adom News the military-green vehicle sped off after knocking down the young man. He said a taxi driver chased the Pickup and wrote down its registration number, which led the police to identify it as a military vehicle. According to Afful, the young man was rush to the Kwadaso SDA Hospital but died later. Asokwa Divisional Commander of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) ASP Kingsley Kawodie confirm the story to Adom News and also affirmed that the Pickup was indeed a military vehicle. Meanwhile, the Director of Public Relations of the Ghana Armed Forces, Colonel Mmbawene Atintande told Adom News the Pickup and its occupants have since been identified and the military is investigating the matter further.
