The Center for National Culture in Cape Coast has hosted the fourth and last in the series of zonal auditions for the Miss Ghana 2010 beauty pageant.
In a competitive battle of wits, beauty, eloquence and style over the weekend, it was all excitement and joy amidst some touching moments when five stunning, silky and intelligent young ladies out of a large number of prospective entrants, made it to the Accra finals.
The five, Rita Dawugbo, Joyce Aziabah, Selma Baba, Adu Gyamfi and Bekoe Bernice, will join 15 others already selected from the three previous audition selection processes in Zone 1 (Northern, Upper East and Upper West), Zone 2 (Brong Ahafo and Ashanti) and Zone 3 (Gt. Accra, Eastern and Volta) for the grand final.
In a tiring and engaging 18-hour session that saw judges Nicola, Kwame and Abiba have a difficult time trying to select the final five, nothing more than quality emerged at the end of the audition, as the chosen ones become the toast of even those who couldn’t make it.
All five, shared their joy and happiness at being able to make it out of the lot and promised to put in a lot of effort between now and the 30th of October when the final event comes off at the International Conference Centre to win that glossy Miss Ghana 2010 crown.
Arguably Ghana’s most prestigious and well respected beauty pageant, the event continues to offer hope to the beauty and cosmetology industry as well as young and vibrant Ghanaian ladies, wanting to attain higher heights.
The 2010 edition has seen the separation of the National Dance Champion series from the main pageant. According to the organizers, they want to focus on each of the two concepts to tap into the benefits that lie in both.
Miss Ghana 2010 is sponsored by Auto Plaza Ltd, RLG Communications, Ghandour Cosmetics, Somotex, Goldfields Ghana and Forever Easy with support from Kabengo Jewellery, So Aesthetic Makeup, Stellar Group, Compu Ghana, ATL, Citizen Kofi and Danny’s Bridal Home and Decorations.
