MoneyGram agent franchises in Ghana, supported by MoneyGram International, recently held a conference at the Holiday Inn Hotel, here in Accra for the top transacting front line agents (FLA's) in the country.
Over 110 bank top transacting FLA’s were invited from across the country. It was a platform for tellers to share ideas, concerns and suggest avenues to improve upon MoneyGram services. Mrs. Kemi Okusanya, MoneyGram Regional Manager for Anglophone West Africa inducted the tellers into the MoneyGram Ambassadors Club, a recognition program for top transacting front line agents.
The newly minted ambassadors shared experiences on delivering the MoneyGram Product and were engaged on suggestions on how to improve the MoneyGram service in Ghana.
They lauded MoneyGram on their fight against fraud, via the new "teller-lockdown" process, which “locks" transactions to specific teller-points, once they are viewed.
Ten deserving and hardworking ambassadors were rewarded; with the overall winner, Emmanuel Abbeye of Ecobank taking home a deep freezer and a microwave. He was very excited and touched by the gesture. "None of the remittance services has ever done this; not even those who have been in existence in Ghana for decades'' he said.
"I am excited with just the recognition even without any gift", exclaimed another happy ambassador.
Speaking on the conference, Mr. Kofi Akyea, Senior Marketing Manager for MoneyGram noted “At MoneyGram we strive to give customers the best possible, world class experience. Their relatives have worked hard to send them money here in Ghana from all over the world, and we must ensure they enjoy the service smoothly. We believe the front-liners are key in ensuring this, and we are proud and excited that our agents are leading the way to train and recognize their best tellers on MoneyGram."
