The MTN Ghana FA Cup final scheduled for this Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium has been postponed, MTNFootball.com has reported.
This was after title sponsors MTN complained about the date which clashes with the weekend’s round 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana’s Black Stars are in action this Sunday in Maseru against Lesotho in the penultimate qualifier.
MTNFootball.com understands a new date 30 June has been agreed by all the parties involved after the Ghana Premier League had ended.
Asante Kotoko beat Amidaus Professionals 3-1 in Accra two weeks ago to set up final clash with Medeama, 2-1 winners over Hearts of Oak in Kumasi.
Kotoko are playing in their second Cup final in three years and for Medeama it will be their first.
Last season, New Eddubaise United beat AshantiGold 1-0 at the Accra Stadium.
