The NAIMOS task force, currently operating in the Western and Western North Regions, has disrupted an illegal mining site at Dadieso in the Suaman District of the Western North Region.
Nine Chinese nationals engaged in illicit mining were arrested for operations that had severely polluted the Bia River.

Several Chungfang machines, heavy-duty pumping equipment, and makeshift structures used by the miners were destroyed beyond repair.
The operation took place on Saturday, 6 December 2025, at about 11:50 a.m., and forms part of the taskforce’s ongoing efforts to protect Ghana’s natural resources, curb environmental degradation, and enforce mining laws across the country.
