Namibia's High Commissioner to Ghana, Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, is extending a warm invitation to all Ghanaians to experience the breathtaking beauty of her country in the enchanting month of November.
With its unique landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage, Namibia offers an unforgettable journey for travellers seeking adventure and serenity, she said.
"Namibia, known for its captivating deserts, rugged mountains, and vast savannahs, transforms into a haven of natural wonders during November.
"The climate is mild, making it the ideal time to explore the nation's striking landscapes, including the otherworldly Namib Desert, the ancient Fish River Canyon, and the dramatic Skeleton Coast," the elated High Commissioner reiterated.
Ashipala-Musavyi emphasised the myriad of experiences that await visitors.
According to her, "November in Namibia is a time of vibrant life, from the lush greenery in the north to the surreal landscapes in the south. It's the perfect season for safaris, cultural encounters, and stargazing in some of the darkest skies on Earth."
She said Namibia offers an array of opportunities to connect with nature and culture.
"You can embark on safaris in Etosha National Park, home to diverse wildlife, or immerse yourself in the traditions of Namibia's indigenous communities.
"The country's commitment to sustainability and conservation ensures a harmonious coexistence with nature," the High Commissioner said.
Namibia, known as the "Land of the Brave", beckons travellers to embrace its unique charm. With Ashipala-Musavyi's invitation, there's no better time than November to embark on an unforgettable journey to one of Africa's extraordinary gems.
Visitors will experience the wonders of Namibia, where the land, culture, and people will leave an indelible mark in their hearts.
What is Namibia in November?
November in Namibia is a dynamic and immersive event that seamlessly combines a variety of activities to create a vibrant and mobile festival atmosphere.
The overarching goal is to establish a network of ambitious Africans who are passionate about intra-African travel through safaris, films, cuisine, trade, and networking.
By fostering meaningful relationships, November in Namibia not only aligns with the agenda of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), but it encourages people-to-people contact, while also serving as a catalyst for collaboration and new opportunities between the diverse sectors of the Ghanaian and Namibian economies.
This event serves as a postlude to the progress Hype.UP Limited has made with the Namibia Tourism Board on their destination marketing drive to Ghana.
Through the agency’s efforts in organizing and executing a Destination Presentation and Networking Night in Accra, as well as a familiarization trip to Namibia, that has laid the groundwork for November in Namibia.
‘November in Namibia’ aligns seamlessly with the Namibia Tourism Board's mission to facilitate the implementation of Article 6, which emphasizes private-sector collaboration and development.
This objective is clearly outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Republic of Namibia and the Republic of Ghana on April 20, 2022.
The campaign commenced in Accra, Ghana, with the captivating #ParkNWatch Black Star Vibes on September 22 and 23, 2023.
This remarkable event is powered by Hype.UP Limited in collaboration with the Ghana National Film Authority, took place at the iconic Black Star Square.
To further enhance the experience, a pre-networking night called #ParkNWatch November in Namibia Vibes will be held on Friday, November 10, for all participants embarking on the trip scheduled for later in November.
The prestigious Ghana Club located on High Street, just adjacent to the new Law Courts Complex, will serve as the venue for this exclusive event.
The Club is 10 years older than Ghana, having been established in 1947 when Ghana was Gold Coast – not surprisingly therefore, it was originally the Gold Coast Club, with Nii Amaa Ollenu, a barrister, and a future Speaker of Parliament, as the first President, serving from 1947 to 1952.
