The Ministry of Employment has rescheduled its intended National job summit which was expected to be held on September 3-4, 2014.
A statement signed by the Deputy Employment Minister Baba Jamal said the rescheduling was due to "health concerns in the West African Sub-region."
The job summit to be organised in partnership with the International Labour Organisation was to promote employment opportunities for the many unemployed youth.
The statement said a new date will be communicated, even though the month of November has been penciled for the summit.
"The inconvenience this rescheduling may have caused our key stakeholders, members of the Diplomatic Corps, Development Partners, participants , Resource Persons, Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA’s) and other invited guests is deeply regretted," the statement added.
