The ruling NDC says it has begun the process to hold primaries in orphan constituencies next month.
The party is also scheduled to hold presidential primaries by September this year.
A Deputy General Secretary of the party Kofi Adams disclosed this to Joy News.
He also denied media reports suggesting that the party would hold an early congress in May to elect a presidential candidate and put to rest the party’s internal wranglings ahead of the 2012 polls.
