A pro-NDC group in the eastern region, Global Network For Bare Facts have lauded president John Dramani Mahama for appointing Emmanuel Victor Smith and Commissioner of Police [rtd] William Kwasi Aboah, to the as an Ambassador and Security Advisor respectively.
In a statement, the convenor of the group, Mr.Stephen Kwame Sawodjie, stated that they are honoured by the decision of the president to appoint two of their own, taking into consideration the vast experience they have gathered and the fact that they hail from the eastern region.
The statement said it is convinced the president appointed them based on their rich experience and academic excellence.
It further stated that Victor Smith’s experience within government and diplomatic circles, his days as spokesperson to former president Rawlings as well as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Czech republic and Regional Minister for the Eastern Region are all but a few of his leadership roles.
On the part of COP [rtd] Kwasi Aboah, the group also noted that the security credentials of the man who hails from Adukrom-Akuapem in the Okere constituency are enormous.
According to the group, his exploits as the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department [CID] and Ashanti regional Police Commander as well as Director-General of the Ghana Immigration Service brought much progress to these institutions.
The pro-NDC group expressed optimism that the two would continue to exhibit high sense of professionalism as they take up their new roles and put Ghana first in all their endeavours.
