The Soft-Tribe, a local software developer in collaboration OBD Tuning, a German car tuning company, on Monday outdoored a new product, the "Software-Eco-Mapping fuel Saver" unto the Ghanaian market.
The product, which could be used to adjust most European and Asian cars would tune the car engines by increasing the Horse Power (HP) and decrease the fuel consumption.
Mr. Kyrre Rodsund, the International Director of Marketing for OBD Tuning told journalists at the launch on Tuesday that, the ECO-Mapping fuel saver would reduce the fuel bills of users by 20 percent and increase the horsepower of the car.
He said the product did not need any new electronic device to be attached to the car for the operation of the vehicle, adding that, it had high fuel efficiency by increasing the HP of normal, diesel and turbo engines by 15, 50 and 55 percent respectively.
Mr. Herman Chinnery-Hesse, Chief Executive of Soft-Tribe Limited said the objective for the introduction of the product was to reduce fuel bills of most car users as well as protect the environment.
He said with the introduction, government could save millions of dollars that it had been using to import fuel.
He said it was time that, "we used products that would reduce pollution in the country".
