Health Minister, Sherry Ayitey says claims owed National Health Service providers will be paid by Monday.
The Ministry of Finance is expected to release funds for the payment of the claims.
The assurance by the Health Minister follows the suspension of healthcare services to NHIS card holders in several hospitals in the Eastern region and Tamale.
The Christian Health Association of Ghana was the latest to join the hospitals that suspended the use of NHIS cards.
The Association claimed the National Health Insurance Authority failed to pay them.
A document intercepted by Nhyira FM indicated the NHIA owed in excess of 50 million Ghana cedis as at the end of January 2013 to 183 health facilities nationwide.
The Health Minister told Joy News she had been in a meeting with the Finance Minister in order to get the monies paid.
Sherry Aryittey appealed to the various hospitals to rescind their decisions and to accept the patients who are subscribed to the NHIS.
