The third edition of the Nhyira Fm’s Fitness Walk for 2016 is expecting the high turnout this Saturday since the inception of the health programme in Kumasi two years ago.
Hundreds of workers from churches, women’s fellowship, keep fit clubs and residents in the Garden City are expected for the walk. This forms part of the Station’s health package to support the physical and mental well-being of staff from participating institutions and the general public.
Participants will walk through some principal streets of Kumasi while they dance to brass band music.
Fitness instructors will also work at hand to lead exciting, yet demanding, aerobic sessions before and after the walk at Heroes Park, Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Programmes manager Darlington ocran has emphasized the importance of brisk walking as an element in living healthy lifestyle
The ultimate goal is to offer a platform for staff of corporate institutions to exercise, socialize and network for enhanced economic productivity.
Event Coordinator, Louis Lamis expressed the station’s commitment to continue adding value to the lives of NHYIRA FM’s listeners through education, information and entertainment.
