The President made the announcement, on Saturday, June 27, at Swiss Spirit Hotel, where he was acclaimed as flagbearer for the NPP by party executives and Council of Elders.

“His excellency selected me in 2008, 2012, 2016 and now in 2020…He could have dropped me but he stuck with me and I am so honoured that he did.”
He stated that he would never take for granted the trust the President had in him, adding that “it has been a privilege and an honour working for you.”
