Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has fulfilled 80% of its 2016 campaign promises.
The Vice President said the ruling party has been loyal to citizens by implementing various policies listed in the 2016 manifesto.
"Projects including the Free SHS, Planting for Food and Jobs, NABCo, One-Village One-Dam, One-Constituency One-Ambulance, are all new transformation policies the NPP has brought about," he said.
Speaking on Asempa FM's political talk show Ekosiisen, Wednesday, Dr Bawumia stated that the current stewardship by ensuring that most promises listed in the 2016 manifesto have been fulfilled is here to do more.
"80% of our promises have been fulfilled: [the projects are] either 100% delivered or we are delivering. All these projects are on the delivery tracker," he said.
Prior to the Akufo-Addo-led administration assuming office, the NPP promised among other things, to implement a Free Senior High School (SHS) system.
They also promised to end unemployment among the youth in the country by introducing the Nation Builder Corps (NABCo).
The Vice President said all these and many others have been fulfilled.
He added that, the NPP needs to be given a second term to continue with the good works started in 2016.
"Because when the NDC was in government, most of these policies, they couldn't implement. So if make a mistake and allow them in power again, the country will retrogress," he added.
He further pledged commitment to fulfilling the promises in the new manifesto.
