The Northern regional minister Moses Magbengba is expected to meet with members of the Northern regional branch of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG).
The workers have entered their fourth day of strike to demand their speedy migration onto the single spine salary structure.
Their national executives have been meeting with the Fair Wages Commission on the matter.
The Tamale Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tamale Abdulai Haruna Friday is worried about the impact of the strike on the work of the municipal assembly.
He there were clear signs that the strike was impacting negatively on the work of the assembly.
Mr Friday appealed to the CLOGSAG members to remain calm as government was looking to addressing their concerns.
The Regional Minister, Mr Moses Magbengba is hoping for a resolution of the impasse as he meets the leadership of the striking workers later today.
