Keta Senior High Technical School (Ketasco) has beaten all odds and made a name for itself as one of the successful schools in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
The three contestants from the school, Bright Senyo Gadzo, Francisca Lamini and James Lutterodt have made their school proud for being the first Volta-Oti team to contest in the finals.
Throughout the month-long national championship which started in October, their performance has been exceptional and spectacular with Bright Senyo Gadzo getting most of his predictions right, a move which has been of advantage to his side.
In their quarter-final contest with Ghana National College and St. Louis SHS, Bright Senyo left the quiz mistress, Prof Elsie Kaufmann stunned when he correctly answered a question in the speed race, although the question was still being read.
Prof Kaufmann was surprised over his accurate response as she was yet to complete reading the question.
She responded by saying 'how' before confirming the answer as correct because she could not imagine how the 'young hero' got it.
"I hadn't even asked you the question yet," she added amid laughter.

The supporters and students of the school could not hide their excitement over the development. In that race, the 'Dzolalians' edged out St. Louis SHS and Ghana National College with 68 points and emerged as winners of the AirtelTigo Highest Scorer of the Day award.

Bright Senyo Gadzo repeated his 'magical brilliance' during the semi-final contest with Wesley Girls' SHS and Tamale SHS.
For many, Keta SHTS can claim the 2021 NSMQ glory on the back of Bright due to his intelligent ways of providing solutions to questions even before the Quiz Mistress had finished giving the full values of the questions.
It will be remarkable and historical should he be able to employ same strategies in the grand finale contest which features defending champions, Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School and four-time champions Prempeh College.
The contest will begin at 2pm today and will be broadcast live on JoyNews, Joy Prime and Myjoyonline.com.
