The Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has extended his best wishes to all candidates taking part in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Rev Fordjour, who previously served as a Deputy Minister for Education, expressed his goodwill in a message shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, 11 June – the first day of the national examination.
In his brief but encouraging message, Rev Ntim Fordjour acknowledged the efforts of the candidates and urged them to give of their best.
“Wishing all BECE candidates across the country the best of luck in your exams. Make us proud!” he wrote.
This year, a little over 600,000 candidates are sitting for the exams across the country.
The BECE serves as a gateway for students transitioning from junior high school to senior high school, and it is considered a key determinant in shaping future academic and career opportunities for thousands of Ghanaian students.
