Residents of Nwineso No.1 in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region have expressed concern about the poor road network that links them to other communities.
The road stretches from Twedie to Foase, Nwineso Nº 1, Nwineso Nº2, Nwineso Nº3, Trabuom, Hiakose, Mmosiaso Abodie and surrounding areas.
According to residents, although the road has been awarded on contract, there has been no progress after the surfacing works were completed.
The poor road system, they say, affects their socio-economic lives.
So far, the situation has worsened, with perennial rains sweeping away parts of the road, creating gullies and erosion.

A cloud of dust suspends in the air before it penetrates into nearby vehicles, homes and stores.
Also, when it rains, the road becomes impassable due to the large quantity of mud. "It has become an eyesore,” resident told JoyNews.
Motorists have also blamed the surge in accidents on the road's deplorable nature.
“Dust from moving vehicles often interferes with vision and before one can realize, an incoming vehicle has crashed on you," a motorist said.
Residents say the road, once constructed, will improve business, and standard of living.
The communities are therefore calling on the government to help expedite actions to ease their plight.
