Ghana Football Association(GFA) President Kwasi Nyantakyi believes the Black Satellites will progress to the quarter final stage of FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
The Satellites play Portugal, who are among the tournament favourites, in Kayseri on Wednesday in the round of 16 match.
Head coach Sells Tetteh is one of the factors that make this tie such an intriguing one after that dramatic qualification which came last Friday.
Nyantakyi is optimistic about the Satellites chances of going through to the next knockout round.
"The team started on a very slow note and now we have moved to the knockout stages of the competition and it is imperative that we win our next game against Portugal," he told Joy sports
"It is not going to be easy but I believe Ghana is more motivated to win the next game having gone through a difficult qualification series, we have learnt a lot.
"I have personally spoken to the coach and he has admitted some of the mistakes we all saw in the first two games and the necessary remedial measures have been put in place to stop some of those problems from recurring.
"I'm very hopeful the Satellites team will go even beyond the quarter finals and make it to the Grand Finale and probably bring the trophy."
