The vice president of New Edubiase Alex Akumey is backing defender Ebenezer Ofori to succeed at his new club AIK Stockholm of Sweden.
The Ghana U-20 defender was introduced to the spectators of the club on Saturday after signing a three and half year deal following a successful medical.
Ebenezer Ofori who was a member of the Black Satellites team which won bronze at last month’s FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey is expected to play his first match on Tuesday against English side Manchester United in a friendly.
Alex Akumey who went with the player to Sweden to sign the deal believes Ofori has what it takes to be an instant hit.
“Honestly speaking I’m so happy for the young man and I strongly believe he will make it in Sweden,” said Akummey
“The coach of AIK Stockholm has been monitoring him for a long time and since he arrived I have seen the two talk a lot and I think that is great.
“Ebenezer Ofori is at the right place and I know he will make us proud.”
