Former Nigeria stars, Austin Okocha and Sunday Oliseh, will be among the experts to analyse the World Cup on SuperSport starting from June 12.
Former Ghana international, Sammy Kuffour, John Barnes, John Dykes and Manchester United great, Ryan Giggs are among the experts that will dissect each game as the sports station broadcast the 64 games.
“Their analyses will blend with five embedded SuperSport crews who will track the progress of African powerhouses Nigeria and Ghana, among others,” a statement for the sport station read.
“We’ve invested heavily in the latest technology. It’s a multi-facceted facility that offers a range of broadcast options,” SuperSport General Manager, West Africa, Felix Awogu, said.
Other magazine shows lined up to entertain and educate viewers during the World Cup include Ola Brazil, We are Brazil, Master Plan and Fan Zone.
SuperSport plans to dedicate two 24-hour channels – SS3HD and SD(SS3) – to the World Cup. SS2HD and SS4 will feature matches in the last round round-robin stage, while Nigeria’s matches will also be broadcast on DStv’s GOtv.
