Former premiership campaigners Okwawu United have strengthened their technical team with the inclusion of Jim Amoah, former coach of the Black Stars in their bid to qualify for the premiership.
Francis Anom, the newly appointed Chairman of the club told the GNA Sports that the appointment of the veteran trainer was to complement the efforts of the club’s head coach, Adolf Gyimah.
Amoah’s major task is therefore to qualify the team back to the premiership within the shortest possible time.
He also added that plans are far advanced for the trainer to steer the affairs of the club till the end of the season.
Coach Amoah who assumes duty this week, will serve in an advisory capacity to coach Gyimah.
Coach Amoah led the Blacks Stars to the African Cup of Nations in 1994 in Tunisia where the Stars bowed out in the first round.
He has been on the quiet until his latest appointment.
The Chairman said his outfit is taking advantage of the re-opening of the transfer window to augment the club’s squad for the second round of the Division One League, scheduled to commence on November 26.
Mr Anom tasked the supporters to patronize and support the Club in their matches, especially when the second round commences so as to be better placed to achieve their aim of qualifying to the elite premiership.
