On Sunday musician Okyeame Kwame and his wife, Annica Nsiah-Apau, celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary.
The couple got married in 2009 and have two children, Sir Bota Nsiah-Apau and Sante Nsiah-Apau.
Marking the occasion on Instagram, Okyeame Kwame penned an essay to his wife appreciating her and the role she has played in his life.
He dubbed the 13 years he has had with Annica, as the best years of his life. The rapper stated that Annica is more than a wife to him, “your love hits different.”
In another post, he stated that “I have done many things in my 45 years on earth, and I say nothing teaches me growth and maturity more than my relationship with you. You have given me the freedom to live my life without an unhealthy attachment to your emotions.”
Not only did Annica complete him, Okyeame Kwame believes life is more pleasurable knowing his wife has his back and he has hers.
“In these 13 years, our relationship has changed from co-dependency to connected to free souls encouraging each other. You have been my homie, lover, and friend. Without pretence, you push me to the very end,” he wrote.
The rapper promised to love his wife regardless of their circumstances. He also thanked her for loving a “difficult guy like me” who is constantly changing.
“Reality check – I may not die without you, but I will be lost without you,” he added.
