At a ceremony held at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Jerry Koomson, Regional Sales Manager, Southern sector; Nii-Osah Mensah Dagadu, formerly a Sales Manager, and Joyce Bekoe, a Financial Adviser, emerged ultimate winners, earning them the trip.
Dubbed ‘the Sales Awards Gala,’ the annual event which rewards and recognizes excellence among the company’s financial advisers and sales force was attended by the top performing advisers, management and staff of Old Mutual, the media and some invited senior officials from the parent company in South Africa.
The Miami trip was the top prize but the company gave out a total of 35 prizes including cash and TV’s; in various categories including best performing branch and national top performing advisers.
In its maiden edition last year, Old Mutual’s Sales Gala rewarded 50 top performing financial advisers with a Samsung Galaxy Tab each, as well as other cash prizes.
Speaking at the event, Nicolette Hendricks, Acting C.E.O. of Old Mutual Ghana, renewed the company’s commitment to rewarding excellence and diligence among its work force, particularly financial advisers and the sales force.
She averred that at Old Mutual, rewarding Hard Work, Team work and Excellence were core to the principles that underpin the company’s operations.
She maintained that it is key for sales advisers to build and sustain shared values with their customers. ‘If your interaction with customers is professional and in line with the Old Mutual values of Integrity, Accountability, Respect and Pushing Beyond Boundaries, I can assure you that winning their hearts and minds will become easier as exemplified by all our winners today,” she added.
Recounting the positive financial strides made in 2014, Mrs. Hendricks urged the Advisers to continue to bring a high sense of dedication and concluded by congratulating the entire sales team, particularly, the winners for their outstanding performance.
The evening was spiced with a motivational discourse on “A Culture of Sales Excellence” by Rev. Albert Ocran, a leading Ghanaian motivational speaker.
