Fifteen radio stations will broadcast only local and African music during the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup, the SABC, South Africa's state owned broadcaster has announced. This means that Ghanaian musicians like Samini, VIP, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba, Friction, Kojo Antwi and Yaa Pono could have their songs played all over South Africa during the tournament as the Black Stars will represent the country. The corporation's public broadcasting service division's 15 stations would play 85 percent local South African music, while 15 percent would be dedicated to music from around the African continent, spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said in a statement.
