Organisers of Wednesday night’s Gracias Choir concert at the Accra International Conference Centre have disclosed that they will dedicate the show to the memory of President John Evans Atta Mills.
The President died Tuesday afternoon at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
Organisers of the concert, IYF and Joy FM said in a statement that “the highly anticipated IYF Gracias Peace Concert is being dedicated to the memory of H.E. Evans Atta Mills tonight…”
The statement urged that “In this trying moment let’s bond together at the peace concert to ensure that the December polls are peaceful.”
Unlike their previous performances in Ghana which were dubbed Christmas Cantata, the Gracias Choir will use this year’s show to preach peace ahead of the 2012 general elections.
The sensational Korean musical group, known the world over, has always held patrons to their shows spellbound with their captivating performances.
Their key attribute is their ability to perfectly sing local Ghanaian songs - they sing these songs passionately as if they were Ghanaians.
Tickets for Wednesday night’s show can be purchased for GHc20, for regular, and GHc50, for VIP at Joy FM, Koala, Silverbird Cinema and Tema Community 11 Shell.
