Inmates of King Jesus Charity Home, a charitable educational centre in Kumasi, are excited at the opportunity to experience the thrills of programmes on digital television network, MultiTV.
This follows a free installation of two digi boxes at the home by Overmars Multi Satellite TV Services, a multiTV retailer in Kumasi.
The company also donated foodstuff and other personal effects, in addition to sponsoring five inmates through secondary education.
King Jesus Charity Home caters for street children, needy youth, orphans and destitute infants by providing them with free shelter, medical care, vocational training and education to the university level.
Chief Executive Officer of Overmars Multi Satellite, Hubert, Kyei Mensah, says the installation is to afford the inmates the opportunity to watch educational and entertaining programmes on MultiTv.
“The least we can do is to put smiles on the faces of the children; the cartoons, sports, music and movies on MultiTv would be of interest to them and I believe they’ll be happy”, he told Luv Fm.
Mr. Kyei Mensah says the gesture will be replicated to other less-endowed institutions across the country.
