Ghana and Fulham defender John Pantsil has put an end to rumours linking him with a move to Premier League new-boys West Bromwich Albion. The Ghanaian has been heavily linked with a Craven Cottage exit this summer, but he insists that the English media have their facts wrong.“I don’t know anything about that report and I am fully concentrating on Fulham with the season just about to start,” Pantsil said.“Coach Mark Hughes has not even met the playing body yet so it is impossible that such conclusions have been made.“Journalists must cross check facts before coming out with such stories because it is causing a lot of discomfort.”Fulham players and fans are only just getting to grips with new manager Mark Hughes, who has taken over the Cottagers following Roy Hodgson’s exit to Liverpool. The former Fulham boss had high praise for Hughes upon his appointment, saying: “It is a good appointment. I am very pleased for him and Fulham Football Club.“I think Mark is a very good manager and he has proved his worth many times. It is good Fulham have got such an experienced man to take over.“I think he will enjoy working at Fulham because it is a fantastic club with fantastic people and magnificent players. I wish him well, but not too well when he plays against us – but I know he will do well.”Fulham’s season begins in less than a fortnight with an away trip to the Reebok Stadium to square off against Bolton.Source: www.premiershiptalk.com
