Passenger’s onboard domestic airlines, Starbow say they are stranded after the plane made an emergency landing on Sunday morning at the Kotoka International Airport.
About sixty passengers travelling from Accra to Tamale were flown back after bad weather conditions did not allow for safe landing in the Northern region.
One of the passengers who spoke to Joy News said they are undecided about their fate.
The passenger, Abu-Mohammed, said the pilot informed the passengers that the weather conditions were not conducive for landing as the runway was not visible.
Meanwhile the Chief Executive of Star Bow Airline, Brooke Freison, told Joy News it was a safer decision to have flown the passengers back to Accra after the pilot encountered some visibility difficulties.
He confirmed that the foggy weather caused by the hamattan prevented the plane from landing in Tamale.
