Leading Cocoa Buyer, PBC has retained its position as the overall best company in the Ghana Club 100 awards.
The awards are a ranking of the country’s 100 most prestigious companies based on three factors growth, size and profitability.
This year’s edition of awards ceremony was held last night at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel. PBC also emerged the leader in the services sector.
Mobile phone assembling company, RLG Communications emerged second despite being a new entrant. The company was presented with three awards, the fastest growing company, Best ICT and the Best entrant company.
Other companies that made it to the best 10 category included Enterprise Life Assurance, ELAC which maintained its 3rd position, Aboso Goldfields, Ghana Home Loans.
The rest were Kasapreko, Goldfields Ghana, GCNet and Auto Plaza. UT Bank was the only bank in the first 10 displacing Zenith Bank which went down to 39.
Rural banks have always put up a strong showing, sweeping a number of the awards.
Organizers of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC), also launched the Ghana 2012 economic report published by the Oxford Business Group.
