As part of activities marking World Oral Health Day, Pepsodent took oral health advocacy directly to the people through an innovative and impactful initiative dubbed the Pepsodent Smile Ride, held on March 18, 2026.
The Smile Ride formed a key part of the brand's "Do the 2" campaign launch activities, reinforcing the importance of brushing twice daily day and night for optimal oral hygiene.
In a vibrant display of community engagement, branded Ayalolo and trotro buses moved across major routes in Accra, Tema, and Takoradi and their surrounding areas.
The activation came alive during peak evening hours from 4pm till late when commuters typically face long journeys home.

Pepsodent teams, alongside dentists from the Ghana Dental Association, were present at some of the busiest bus terminals and stations.
They boarded buses and engaged passengers with interactive oral health education sessions, focusing on the importance of proper brushing habits and preventive dental care.
The initiative was not only educational but also a welcome relief for commuters. All rides were offered free of charge, easing the burden of daily transportation while creating a unique opportunity for meaningful engagement.
Passengers also received Pepsodent care packages, further extending the campaign's impact beyond the journey and into their daily routines.
The Smile Ride exemplifies Pepsodent's commitment to improving oral health outcomes while connecting with Ghanaians in relatable, everyday settings.
By bringing education directly to commuters and combining it with tangible support, the brand continues to champion healthier smiles across the country.
Beyond awareness, the initiative reflects a broader purpose to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians and provide relief wherever possible.
Pepsodent is also leveraging tele-dentistry, an innovative approach that connects individuals to professional dental advice remotely.
Through this initiative, members of the public can access guidance from certified dentists affiliated with the Ghana Dental Association without the need for an in-person visit, making oral care support more accessible, especially for those in underserved or hard-to-reach communities.
This digital extension of care complements on-ground activations like the Smile Ride by ensuring that oral health education and support continue beyond the bus rides, empowering Ghanaians to take proactive steps towards healthier smiles anytime, anywhere.
As the "Do the 2" campaign gains momentum, Pepsodent remains dedicated to driving sustained behavior change and making oral care accessible to all.
