You would have thought that local leaders would be local allies in promoting locally made goods.
But you would be wrong. Two leading and neccessary institutions - Parliament and lately the University of Ghana have snubbed local producers of chairs and gowns respectively to import ones from China.
Myjoyonline.com shows here a sofa produced by KPOGAS Furniture, a wholly-owned Ghanaian Company that could have produced the chairs being used currently in Parliament.

It is difficult to imagine that whatever mind or imagination that went into this piece of work is severely limited in producing the ones swirvling in Parliament.

If Ghana becomes great without Ghanaians, it will be our own great wonder of the world - just like the great wall of China.
