The African Youth Negotiators Fellowship (AYNF) Cohort 4, organised by the Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO), brought together young climate advocates from across the continent to Ensign Global University.
From September 29 to October 3, 2025, they went through an intensive training program designed to sharpen their negotiation skills, deepen their understanding of global climate diplomacy, and foster collaboration among Africa’s next generation of climate leaders.

The training blended hands-on simulations, expert-led sessions, and mentorship from seasoned negotiators, giving participants real-world insights into the dynamics of UNFCCC processes.

Beyond the classroom, the fellowship provided a vibrant space for networking, cross-country collaboration, and solidarity, reinforcing youth leadership at the heart of Africa’s climate response.

It was organised in collaboration with Climate and Development Knowledge Network (CDKN) and the Environmental Protection Agency.
