Some motorists and residents along the Dadeban Road in the North Industrial Area of North Kaneshie in Accra, have demanded an immediate fixing of the road.
A portion of the road from an intersection near the Melcom Head office through the Ghana Revenue Authority office is badly deteriorated.
The motorists are concerned that anytime it rains, that portion of the road gets flooded, thus becomes unmotorable.

The poor state of the road, which is an alternative route that links Lapaz, Kaneshie and the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange is causing inconvenience for both motorists and passengers.

Mr Armah said he did not understand why many roads in Accra have been constructed under the government’s year of roads programme yet that portion has been abandoned.

According to the driver, the fact that a branch office of the Ghana Revenue Authority is located in the area, very close to the most deteriorated portion, angers him because the revenue agency has failed to do anything about the situation.

Meanwhile, the myjoyonline.com team saw a young man who mentioned his name as Emmanuel, voluntarily filling some potholes on the road and begging for tokens from motorists.
Emmanuel lives in the area, thus in his spare time, he fills some of the pot holes.
