President Akufo-Addo’s comment that the “Nation is in good health and competent hands” during his State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2020 will headline today’s discussion on the Newsfile.
In his address, President Akufo-Addo touted the achievements of his government in the three years it has been in power and promised to do more.
“Things are working in Ghana and Ghana is surely changing. The message of the State of the Nation is that our nation is in good health and in good competent hands.”
But is that the reality on the ground?
The host of JoyNews’ Newsfile, Samson Lardy Ayenini, will be joined by the Director of Advocacy and Policy Engagement at CDD-Ghana, Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante, the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, a member of the Finance, Mines and Energy Committee in Parliament, John Abdulai Jinapor and Senior Vice President of IMANI Africa, Kofi Bentil to analyse the reality of the President’s statement to the average Ghanaian.
Other issues to be tackled are the President’s assessment of the fight against galamsey and corruption, the financial sector cleanup and the state of security in the country.
